Industrial glass processing

Industrial glass processing

Various translucent structures and products are made from glass due to its modernity, durability and versatility. Processed glass is used in the manufacture of partitions, doors, showers, showcases, stairs, floors, fences, and more.

Why do you need glass processing?

After processing, it obtains the required properties, dimensions, configuration and aesthetic appear- ance, which allows to manufacture household items, create interior elements as well as the production of translucent structures.

What do we offer?

Harwal Enterprises provides high-quality industrial custom processing of glass. We use the glass of various types and thicknesses from leading global manufacturers, such as AGC, Pilkington, Guardian. Having employed highly qualified specialists and using modern equipment, we carry out all the produc- tion operations of the technological process. Glass cutting and edge processing

Our advantages:

  • we execute all orders promptly;
  • high production capacity allows us to handle large orders;
  • modern equipment ensures high quality processing;
  • we carry out complex glass processing;

Drilling, countersink and milling glass

Working holes are needed for the installation and assem- bly of glass structures and products. Processing glass allows to make these holes and prepare glass for further use in the manufacture of partitions, windows, doors, fur- niture elements and other products.

Types of glass processing:

  • Drilling holes of different diameters on a two-sided drilling machine;
  • Countersinkto process edges of holes for fasteners;
  • Milling to create cutouts of complex shape and holes of large diameter

Drilling, countersink and milling of glass are carried out on modern high-precision CNC equipment which enables to create complex shapes and forms for individual orders.

Drilling is performed for ordinary glass, tempered and laminated (Triplex). Milling and countersink are available for all types of glass, except mirrors.

Vertmax 2,6 - the countersink and milling machine. Performs 250-300 m² per shift with sophisticated processing.

Drilling glass machine BAVELLONI VT-1250. Productivity per shift – 30-50 units

Tempering glass

Harwal Enterprise offers tempering of low-emissivity and multifunctional glass. We work with ordinary, translucent and frosted sheet glass of various thicknesses (from 8 to 19 mm) from leading global manufacturers: AGC, Pilkington, Guardian. Hardening of your glass is also possible.

The advantages of tempered glass:

  • Fragments of tempered glass are not able to cause cuts;
  • After tempering, glass becomes ten times stronger than usual;
  • Increases resistance to temperature extremes;

Hardening does not change the optical properties of glass. Machining is carried out before tempering for.

Triplex (laminated glass)

Harwal Enterprises offers innovative solutions in the field of glass processing which allows to create products of various shapes and sizes, polishing the edges and figured cutting. Triplex is a durable and safety laminated glass.

Laminated glass is a type of safety glass that holds to- gether when shattered. In the event of breaking, it is held in place by an interlayer. Its high strength prevents the glass from breaking up into large sharp pieces.

To provide a decorative laminated surface in Triplex pro- duction, we mainly use PVB film. In addition to its usual multilayer, you can also order tempered Triplex. Various options of execution are available: opaque, transparent, stained/color glass.

With Trosifol films, we offer the world's widest range of innovative glass laminating solutions, including structural and functional intermediate layers for safety and protection, sound insulation and UV protection.

Advantages of using Triplex glass:

  • High strength to handle all loads;
  • Resistance to moisture, temperature changes and other negative factors;
  • Long service life with no quality loss;
  • Noise insulation and UV-protection;
  • Heat insulation, the ability to trap the heat indoors

Laminated glass production takes place on the SFL-2535 lamination line from the Finnish company Tamglass.

Capacity of the production line is 300 m².

Industry-leading Trosifol films have made glass safer for over 60 years. Trosifol is a polyvinyl butyral (PVB) film designed for architectural, solar, and automotive laminated safety glass applications. With its excellent edge stability, high mechanical strength, and impressive durability, Trosifol provides superb impact resistance for use in burglary, hurricane, bullet, and blast resistant windows.

Double glazing

We manufacture double-glazed windows for window manufacturers and other translucent structures. We produce items consisting of 2-3 standard or addition- ally treated glasses that are connected to each other along the perimeter. In constructions we use spacers and sealants. They increase the strength of the mod- ules, prevent the penetration of air in the chambers and the formation of condensate. Between the panes we install sieve-desiccants which contribute to the removal of moisture.

Glass packs of any size and shape can be ordered on demand including round, triangular, and oval shapes.

Types of insulating glass units:You can choose glass with a protective film or float (heat-polished), tempered or laminated Triplex, painted or special fire-resistant.

The choice of glass with processing will make it possi- ble to impart the light-transmitting structure and there- fore, it will protect the room from excessive influence of the sun’s rays and provide heat and sound insulation, fire resistance and safety.

Stemalit (enameled tempered glass) Glass film installation

Harwal Enterprises manufactures durable enamel glass in any available color using the RAL system.

Stemalit (or enamelled glass, emalit) is tempered glass. A colored coating of baked ceramic paint is applied on the surface and makes it almost inseparable from the glass surface. After special treatment the paint is densely sin- tered with glass and it’s impossible to remove it even due to serious mechanical effects with metal objects.

The use of enameled glass:

  • Decoration of the interior and exterior of buildings;
  • Finishing of entrance and interior doors;
  • Production of partitions and glass structures;
  • Production of furniture, floors and stairs;
  • Production of accessories for interior decoration.

Sinter paint applying machine (enamel) - Kera Glass (Italy).
Per shift productivity is 225 m²
The maximum size of the glass is 2500x3200 mm.

Any color is available. According to the RAL

Other colors available upon request.

Pasting glasses with film

Harwal Enterprises manufactures glass film installa- tion of any glass surfaces including windows, doors or transparent interior partitions. This technology is used to improve the anti-vandal and sun-protection charac- teristics of glass, as well as for decorative purposes.

Tint film dims bright sunlight and maintains a comfort- able level of illumination in the room. In hot weather, it is able to absorb from 38 to 70% of solar heat, and when it’s cold it reduces heat loss by 40%. In addition, the film installation technology increases the strength of glass by 6–7 times and extends the service life of the product.

At the same time, tinted glass does not require special care. The surface with a protective film is cleaned with simple cleaning detergents.

Available types of films

The plant offers a large selection of films of different types and shades for the manufacture of glass with the necessary characteristics.

Reservation films:

  • Shock-resistant in protection class K4 / A1-A3;
  • Explosion-resistant protection class D1-D5.

Tinting film:

  • Sunscreen (silver, neutral);
  • Energy-saving (greenish, greyish-green, blue);
  • Opaque frosted (black, white).

Decorative films:

  • Mat white, opaque silver;
  • White with a geometric pattern;
  • Translucent.

Glass cutting and edge processing

Industrial glass cutting is performed according to the required sizes, shapes, sketches and drawings. We use machines with numerical control (CNC).

This high-precision equipment allows to perform high-qual- ity cutting glass and prevents the occurrence of chips and cracks on the edge of the glass.

We execute monolithic glass cutting.

Edge processing

Various types of edge processing are available. It ensures the safety of subsequent work with glass and protects against possible cuts, giving the product an attractive appearance.

Edge Processing Types:

  • Grinding to remove sharp corners. The ends become dull and rough.
  • Polishing to give the front part transparency and smoothness.
  • Facet to polish, canted to the edge at a certain angle.
