Expo 2020 is a World Expo to be hosted by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, originally scheduled for 20 October 2020 – 10 April 2021. However due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the new dates are 1 October 2021 – 31 March 2022.
TSSC is proud to announce the undertaking and commencement of the Supply and Installation of Standing Seam Roofing at the Russian Pavilion – Expo2020 site, Dubai - UAE.
The scope includes Standing Seam system for the Roof (Dome), Canopy and Walls covering a total area of 5,300m² . The TSSC-BASECO system is FM & Civil Defence approved and particularly designed for the challenging dome structure having a radius of 38M and height of 15m at the base of the dome.
The steel structure dome rests on steel frames at a height of 12m bringing the total height of the cladded structure to 27m. The standing seam built-up consists of 0.7mm GI 35-205 Deck Liner, Vapor Barrier, Rockwool Insulation, Omega Profiles, 200mm Aluminum Halters and Tapered 1.0mm Aluminum Standing Seam Panel (250mm-500mm). All of these components are designed and manufactured to follow the curved surfaces (Dome, Canopy & Walls). TSSC utilizes 2 tower cranes, 4 manlifts and operates a 2-shift schedule (day & night) to execute this project.
